ABOUT THE DESIGNER
Buse Ozler is a Turkish designer who was born in the United States in 1997. She spent her early life in London and grew up in Istanbul. In 2012, she moved back to United States and attended the Pratt Institute (class of 2019) in Brooklyn, New York and got her BFA in Fashion Design. She has also studied abroad in Paris, France during the fall of 2017 at the Paris College of Art. Her lifetime dream was to become a fashion designer and eventually have her own brand. Ozler started her own small business in 2016 (www.buseozler.com) where she sold handmade items and her collections, and now she uses her website as her portfolio.
She has interned with fashion houses such as Pamella Roland, Vera Wang, Marchesa, Phillip Lim and Rick Owens and have also interned with a showroom and boutique, motivated to learn all aspects of the business. She has worked as a technical designer at Vineyard Vines and also as a Menswear Designer at Mavi, a Turkish brand in Istanbul. Recently she was the head Mens designer at the start-up brand Siedres (www.siedres.com).
Leaning towards geometric and bold designs, the designer enjoys timeless pieces with neutrals and pops of color. Her attention to detail is seen all through her designs and her own style. She also enjoys print design and uses her abilities to create custom prints for her mens collections at Siedres. A love for handwork has pushed her towards couture pieces and it shows in handmade details of her work.
Motivated to present her customers with comfortable, modern and intricate pieces that will last a lifetime due to their high quality and durable materials and perfect construction is the designer’s goal. Her love for surface design and digital illustration adds to her multi-dimensional abilities. She’s excited to bring her creativity, problem solving abilities and positive attitude to the work place.
She’s proficient in PLM (Centric), Adobe Suite, CLO3d (3D garment software) and Microsoft Office. In hopes of continuing to gain international experience, Ozler is open to designer positions all around the globe!
