ABOUT THE DESIGNER

Buse Ozler is a Turkish designer who was born in the United States in 1997. She spent her early life in London and grew up in Istanbul. In 2012, she moved back to United States and attended the Pratt Institute (class of 2019) in Brooklyn, New York and got her BFA in Fashion Design. She has also studied abroad in Paris, France during the fall of 2017 at the Paris College of Art. Her lifetime dream was to become a fashion designer and eventually have her own brand. Ozler started her own small business in 2016 (www.buseozler.com) where she sold handmade items and her collections, and now she uses her website as her portfolio.

She has interned with fashion houses such as Vera Wang, Pamella Roland, Marchesa, Phillip Lim and Rick Owens. Her full time career started in technical design at Vineyard Vines and later moved into design as she held a menswear designer role at Mavi, a global Turkish brand headquartered in Istanbul. Recently she was the head mens designer at the start-up brand Siedres (www.siedres.com) in Istanbul and later on she oversaw mens sweaters and bottoms for Izod in NYC.

Leaning towards structural and bold designs, the designer enjoys timeless pieces with neutrals and pops of color. Her attention to detail is seen all through her designs and her own style. She also enjoys print design and uses her abilities to create custom prints for her collections. She’s excited to bring her creativity, problem solving abilities and positive attitude to the work place.

She’s proficient in PLM (Centric8 and FlexPLM), Adobe Creative Suite, CLO3D and Browzwear/Lotta (3D garment softwares), Pointcarre (sweater design software) and Microsoft Office. In hopes of continuing to gain international experience, Ozler is open to designer positions all around the globe!
